I wanted to cry when I first listened without headphones-it sounded so flat and I couldn't believe that was the version she went with for the album. But she is so right-about having to listen to the album with headphones-i was totally shocked when I listened again. The layering and the dimension of the song is incredibleeeee! This may sound very weird but close your eyes and listen to it with headphones. The production is also amazing. The opening and 0:13-0:15. IMO the beat isn't as hard as I expected, the bass synth is a little too prominent, and the vocals in the first verse sound much louder than the music. But who knows, maybe that's how it was meant to sound all along. ETA: and yes, I listened with high-quality headphones.
