I'm sorry but I can't take this list seriously. There is no reason for Poker Face to be ahead of The Beatles. It's a fantastic song and definitely one of the best pop songs ever, but I don't think it is at a point where it can be bigger than a Beatles song. Give it another ten years and see how it's remembered and than we can talk about if this list was right.

Literally the Beatles song is the only one on here I don't know.

Same - well I do know it, but they have even more iconic tracks that should be in its place. All You Need is Love, Here Comes the Sun and Let It Be to name a few.

I don't know. But if it is it is still a shoddy list. The way singles are delivered has changed drastically in the past 10 years alone, let alone the past 35+ years. The numbers don't mean as much as the lasting cultural impact does.

What numbers though? I just checked, it does not appear to be based on actual sales numbers at all. Unless there is some secret German sentence there. :blehga:

well the term "biggest" would imply sales, popularity, impact etc...

You'd think so. Articles like this should have disclaimers that the order is not based entirely on concrete numbers, but rather opinion of impact.
