Why don't you compare her promo to katy perry... and then ask that question again Katy Perry, who may barely open with 300k while Gaga already has 100k in iTunes pre-orders three weeks before the album drops, we're really comparing those two things? Applause and DWUW are both featured in TV advertisements, they do all the general web ads etc. Obviously the promo will be more hyped up around the time of the album release, which is still three weeks away so...they've done fine as far as I'm concerned. Gaga could have done some more performances, but she's obviously been busy in the past month trying to finish the album.
