The first verse in the studio version is more slurred, s-xual, and...not like the message. I miss how she sang "enough" in the first verse as it led up to the chorus. Now it's just "enough" ... BAM. I think both versions are horrible and there isn't a dramatic difference between the final and demo version as far as I'm concerned. And, I get that they wanted to mess with the sound so that people wouldn't just download it, but the quotes just made it sound so tacky. Honestly, compared to the demo, they really suck. :( But I love how clear the rest of the song sounds. Looking forward to the full version. "You want to pity 'cause was arranged one man to love" makes so much more sense than the hot mess they have now. I'm just disappointed because she changed the flawless parts of the song and left alone the parts that could have used a little improvement. It's like she heard us b---hing about how badly Aura needed to be remastered but didn't understand which parts. I was sure there was gonna be a huge Zedd break down at the end but instead we keep the xylophone levels of beats. And we get a neutered first verse. I think that might be explained with this tweet: "Rodriguez surprised me with a lyric video for the OPENING song on ARTPOP! 'AURA' in my debut film MACHETE KILLS!". It sounds like he did it without her knowing, so he probably didn't have an official lyric sheet, and just went by ear.
