giskardsb 12,565
some of you need to strike the words "messy", "cheap", "busy", "amateur", etc. from your vocabulary. They are just being used as derivatives with no meaning behind them other than denigrating the work.
pink sushi 4,351
I still don't really know how to feel about it.... I like the background and the statue. But hate how it looks like she's giving birth to the blue ball and how you can see a reflection of the room in the ball....
hater 32
I honestly think its horrible and looks like crap. I really feel this strongly about it. It amazes me that some people here will literally praise anything she does no matter what. Its almost to the point where they have convinced themselves that everything she does is flawless. I know I am gonna get backlash for this but its what I have observed. Also the wig while it has bangs is not the one from the fame. The fame wigs had much longer bangs that came down to below her eyebrows and didn't look so fake. I do not praise everything she does, I only praise the things I like, and I think this cover is very well made. I love the work of Jeff Koons, and this is amazing. Sadly, I may not be as important until either Koons or Gaga dies. It is truly art, art-referencing, and ARTPOP. Also take note that people of Picasso's time thought his work looked like **** just sayin'

They are meant to force the viewer of the art to see the reality of where the art is located (usually a gallery, but in this case a photography studio). I know that you may still not like it, but just wanted to point out that the reflection of the studio is intentional. www.brianhowarddesign.com
melodichard 3,769
That would be cool if the gazing ball was reflective on the actual covers
SimplyAbdiel 0
I am a huge fan of the sculpture itself except for the Koons ball. I loved how she foreshadowed the ball in her VMA performance, but it looks extremely unprofessional and would've looked nicer if it was a crystal ball. Also, I'm not a huge fan of "ARTPOP." But i'm really appreciating the "LADY GAGA" type. I can live with it and it's grown on me since I first saw it.

That does change things a bit! i thought it was just sloppily done or that she wanted to add "texture" or something to the cover.
PaperIz 7,346
That would be cool if the gazing ball was reflective on the actual covers That's what I was thinking!! It would be a way to fully utilize the point of the gazing ball. We would become ART and POP with Gaga. We could belong together, Gaga, ART, POP, and the fans. I'm not sure how I feel. Eh. I just wish the colors went together more. The pink color is so flat and looks like it was added in MS Paint. Love that statue/thing of Gaga, though. I just wish it was more simple. Something like this~ maybe without all that fake tan though. *prepared for the hate* This is amazing! Human generated art
BricksNStrings 231
I love everything except "POP", the way it's squished together looks awkward to me (even though I get what they were going for aesthetically). I definitely am digging the whole concept though, and I love how her name is/the sculpture. Excited to see the sculpture by itself.
