Raikov 183
Yeah, Gaga never writes her music besides the melody and lyrics She has, though. She's done it for her pre-Gaga stuff (Captivated, Electric Kiss, probably her SGBand stuff) and some of her Gaga songs are just her (iirc, You & I and Speechless). She's a trained pianist who went to music school so I see no reason for her not to write the chords to her songs. Indeed, look at Sometimes - same arrangement as Eh Eh but totally different melody and lyrics. My question is whether Gaga wrote the chords and then the producer creates an arrangement (supported by the different versions of Eh Eh, RedOne vs Kierszenbaum) or whether someone else writes the chords and arrangement. Her songwriting process is a bit of a mystery because she's definitely done both things (created chords + melody + lyrics / created melody + lyrics on top of someone else's chords) and it's hard to tell what she did for each song. Nemo 4,219
They can feel that way about the end result. No need to drag them, ladies. But it's not about the end result. They felt that way going in. And then they did it anyway. And given their demonstrated prejudice, there's no reason to think that they even gave the end result a fair hearing. So I'm baffled by people defending them here, and calling them "honest".
drinkmytears 2,332
I don't think they are true artists. They are obviously in it for the money. They try and act superior to Gaga but they are milking her. Its hilarious.
Stefani328 321
It's the opposite! Her vocals are killing the song at the verses.. The only reason I put up with Aura is because of Gaga' s vocals in the chorus. I am not a huge fan of Aura. I prefer all the other songs we've heard, besides Swine. It's like J&D. I love Gaga' s part but the beat is messy, same for Aura.JMO

BangTheGong 310
Wow.. Gaga should take Infected Mushroom's credit off the track and just list it as Gaga ft. Zedd. They don't want the credit anyways, and I don't think they deserve the promo from it.
Magoo 6
Steinberg/Kelly, the writers of "Like a Virgin". Not "Like a Prayer", which was written by Madonna and Patrick Leonard. I've read, on this forum, that Gaga actually did write NOBTR, but wasn't credited, because she was ghostwriting. (Yeah, I had no idea that happened in songwriting before I read that.) This was offered as the explanation for why we have her vocals on the demo. I can't vouch for it, of course. Indeed; that all fits with Gaga buying back NOBTR - because she wrote it in her early days and sold it to get $ (Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander then produced it). Merely demo-singing it would probably not be enough to make her buy it back and then not use it. That's quite different though to Aura where she has bought someone else's instrumental to build the song upon; I don't think she's ever bought someone else's song (i.e. including vocals). Adakam 2
How stupid, every thing they said could have been avoided if they said no, saying they have artistic integrity but went trough with this is and they are gonna complain so bad, is just ridiculous
Queen Gloria 3,434
It's far from commercial, lol. I hate hipstery "Æ’uck the mainstream" music producers who are so far up their own asses that they can't look at art objectively. They're allowed to have their opinion because they created the core of the music, but Zedd and Gaga took it to a new place they couldn't have imagined. I'm sorry, I think without Gaga the music is quite repetitive. Edited October 5, 2013 by CarrieMoonbeam
Jay.P 2,331
I saw this in the IM forums thread, it's one of the members of Infected Mushroom. He seemed completely fine with it, which leads me to believe that they said this to please their fans after their reaction Edited October 5, 2013 by Jay.P Do you hear that? It's poison.
