They're entitled to their own opinion. It's not like they trashed gaga personally or hated her for no reason like some others have. They dislike the what she did to their track. Nothing more to see here.

I personally love the song, I know it's just a demo, but I agree with them with what they said about the vocals. I feel like they don't really complement the track very well but it has grown on me over time.

What if they are judging by the demo and the final version is like x564816846846871533358 times better?

A man can hope.

:ohno:

Even if only 0.00000001% of the song was Pop, they would never admit they'd like it. They live inside the box.  :nails:

Ok so I'm confused now. Is Aura produced by Zedd or the Infected Mushroom people? Or the Infected Mushroom people gave it to Zedd who tweaked it for GaGa? Or Zedd was producing it for Infected Mushroom? Who gets credited on the production?

Haha I see where you can get that, but I see it a bit differently. They were having Zedd produce their song, which they obviously really liked and were enthusiastic about, but then Gaga walked in the room, heard it, liked it, and wanted it. It's kind of like an "Uh-oh," sort of moment. He says "There is a problem" because the song was never intended for anyone to use but Infected Mushrooms, but Gaga was insistent on having it. So meanwhile, Infected Mushrooms think that Zedd is producing their song, but he has to call them and tell them that there is a problem, because Lady Gaga wants the song. And when Lady Gaga wants a song, she gets it. Know what I mean?

And of course! You're entitled to your opinion just as much as I am entitled to mine, and there's nothing wrong with sharing/debating our views through a calm, mature conversation. People tend to unneccessarily blow things way out of proportion for no reason. You're handling your meltdown very well though. :fan:

In all honesty you're even helping me to understand the situation rather than arguing and such. I still want to say sorry if my first response to you doesn't have a good tone. I was really having a meltdown earlier, I even called myself shallow and like "really?!" because I was getting teary-eyed after reading reading the OP lmao. I was about to create my thread just to lessen the burden but there's no need now because of our convo :) now I understand them more, I had a lack beforehand

Has Zedd already producing their track  :derpga:

Maybe they are happy with it but can't say in order of loss of their true fans?

You call it fortune, she calls it change. Have some respect to other artists, especially when they x1000000 more popular than you.

I have a feeling we're missing some vital context for this interview. Maybe they're just fronting for their fans or reacting to their fans' backlash.

They said she was cheap and compared her to Britney

That's the whole point of talking it out. :) To help understand a person's views, and even strengthen or change your own. Your first response didn't seem foul toned to me, you were just stating your opinion. No need to apologize, I'm just glad I could help you understand the situation a bit more.

That being said, Infected Mushrooms COULD have a negative conception of Gaga. But from this interview alone, we can't be the judges of that yet. They just seem really protective of their work. However, if they continue to diss her in future interviews, and aren't careful of how they word their opinions, there WILL be hell.

Unfortunately, pop music already has that reputation among non-fans of the genre. They're just referring to it, and trying not to be tarred with the same brush.

I think what they said was cowardly but it makes sense that they want to keep up appearances in a ****ty situation (where many people will judge them for associating with pop music).
