Controversy is good at generating youtube views (which cost nothing). But album sales not so much. People BUY albums cause they love an artist or think the music is quality. You should check Rihanna's twitter then. She said reworked fan song. Just like Aura was a replacement for Burqa, Dope sounds like it could easily be a replacement for Cake. And it's not that. We don't have any evidence that she's referring to "Cake", there's only one song on the album that we know of that could be classified as urban, she alluded to Dope not being hip-hop, and Rick Rubin is one of the most diverse producers in the business.
