MonsterOfSpain 8,320
I Agree, tho 200K seems acceptable. Yeah I think So the remixes didnt make anything for the song. No, Applause's sales this week decreased ~15% in fact.
Klou 2,414
I think the holidays are perfect for Single sales but It really depends from the song and when radio will Pick Up ... IT's not necessary that a song released In oct-november will flop .. Single sales during the holidays are always the lowest of the year. By late November and December, it's common for the #1 song on iTunes to only be selling around 150K. People are broke spending money on gifts and there are less spins on radio for pop songs. Holidays are good for album sales, bad for single sales. People don't buy singles for people as Christmas gifts like they do with albums.

So I really hope Gaga will have top 10 or even top 5 song then so she can get that holidays boost I think It is the week after christmas and new year or s'th' like that .. MonsterOfSpain 8,320
Did y'all buy your 6 remixes? I didn't because I am from Spain and I don't have an US account, so my purchase wouldn't affect anything. And the song is steady at #8 (although #33 on iTunes) in my country, so everything is perfect
Dangerous Man 9,245
And the album cover is still not on iTunes yet the album is rising. ha impact! :legend: "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

But on Christmas (last 2 December weeks) the sales are huge, 'cause that's when people like Ke$ha, Katy Perry... had their best selling weeks. yet the album is rising. ha impact! #81 when it was #120 a week ago

The week after Christmas, yeah. People start using their iTunes gift cards and that week sees the highest sales of the year. The problem is getting a single to the top 10 by that point. Most songs in the top 10 will have had their airplay adds begin in October or prior.
Bt1 5,213
Yeah I think No, Applause's sales this week decreased ~15% in fact. I think she should stop with the remixes thing. Release only one, not 8.

Marco 731
I think if Gaga releases her second single in late October or early November she'll be fine.

Those songs impacted radio before the holidays, so they already had a good start.
