With over 4 weeks left for the release of ARTPOP, and the fact that she does no longer have a top 10 exposure on both the singles and albums charts on iTunes, the more Interscope should feel obligated to create buzz around her via a promo single as soon as possible.  Not being in the top 50 alone is actually already bad.

not true, look at P!nk .. I mean maybe It's not a right comparison but In my opinion the most Important thing are the Songs and she has at least 2 really great songs for singles and If she releases the right song In the right time + the right promo = longevity and success ... Right now Interscope are not doing the best job but at least are being careful Unlike with the Born This Way era .. do you agree :?

No, I think so far this era has been more poorly managed than 2011. It's still early but it's not promising

Yup, and even if Applause rises back to around #9 or so today, that doesn't fix the dismal album buzz issue.

yes but we don't know their plans which doesn't mean that they don't have plans

I don't wanna be mean to Gaga, but I honestly think it all boils down to the product :( It's not very interesting and it's just Gaga's core idea repeating itself without cohesion.

But I do believe Interscope/the Haus is to blame for all this, if there is anyone to blame. They shouldn't have left Gaga in an emotional storm like that through two years.

I just hope that they take their plan into action at a faster pace, otherwise I fear that this unusually non-aggressive approach might hinder any momentum Gaga currently has towards the release of ARTPOP. New releases are expected within the coming weeks. And that means more probability that a Gaga song will be pushed further away from the top 10 iTunes exposure.

yes I know that, I am talking about the promo, they've always had a great promo for Gaga It's just that she was really overexposed In 2011 and now they might not want to repeat the same mistake (with ending a whole era that was hyped for 6 months and continue from February to December (actually May to December) ) now they might want longevity and that's why they are not promoting that much (for now)  ...

As for the Singles they won't ever learn, I love Applause but right now Gaga could've been slaying If they released something fresh new like a Zedd or Madeon production or even DJWS but not Applause ...

What is the point in releasing the lead single 3 months prior to album if nothing is gonna happen in this period?

80s is pretty bad considering Avril Lavignes preorder is above Gaga in most countries.... And I'll just leave it at that

I would be happy for Katy if Prism outsold ARTPOP because she actually has a competent team. Her marketing has been perfect so far.

Gaga and the Haus can go on every radio station and put up posters all over LA, but if the buzz has been muffled generally then that's it. Chances are they know this and are just making the most of what they have and saving their energy.

There's likely a reason they chose not to be as staunch with the promo as they were with previous eras, and it probably has to do with making an impression with the industry rather than the listeners. I'll get into this someday.
