These are sales from this past week?

Yes; as estimated for Mon Sept 30 - Sun Oct 6

The method is good for relative sales (i.e. for the positions) but can easily be out by up to 15% for the absolute figures (i.e. all the figures may be too high or too low together)

Dangerous Man

yes. Nielson starts counting from zero each week

it doesn't make much difference though

on nielson, if a song get 70m for last week, and this week (full) get 80m - then final will be 80m

on mediabase, if a song get 70m last week, this week 80m, movement will be 20m, but final will still be 80m

thanks!

yeah it doesnt really differs coz rolling effect happens daily.

But I like how nielsen's methodology isn't that complicated. I guess they can easily reset the whole week AIs because of the advance technology they use to track audience.

Do you think that cover can send ARTPOP back into top 20 on pre-orders?

The billboards might help... I think tracklist and promo single would do wonders for its preorders more than a cover would.

The fact that they will put it on billboards and will be on tv...

Unless ppl arent really here for Gagz anymore. :/

Good question.  It's because there is a sort of roll over effect on itunes where part of a song's itunes number is for sales the day(s) before. Suppose Song A is at #1 and is selling consistently 50K/day.  Then suppose new song B sells 50K on day 1 and then nothing more.  Its itunes number will be approx 0.667 on day 1, 0.222 on day 2 and 0.074 on day 3.  For new song B to get to #1 on day 1 it would have to sell 75K.  So Applause sold more than Roar on the day Applause debuted but did not overhaul it on itunes (i.e. because Roar's position was helped from its sales the day before).

But if she did something like this:

Today comes the cover

Tomorrow, she releases Aura as promo single

The next day - releases tracklist

It would put ARTPOP on such high level  :excited2:

We're so happy even when we are smiling out of fear.

Cant wait for Lorde to smash again

I seriously think Bieber will start free falling soon.

Of course 12 year old girls are asleep right now, so when they get up he'll get a few more dark green updates and that should be it.

So bassicly if Applause debuted same day as Roar it would be #1?

So Applause would get number 1 in itunes if it had sold 135K in day 1 since Roar was selling 90K/day?

I kinda still dont get the math part. :/

The #ARTPOP cover I designed for @ladygaga will be released at 1 pm. It will be the album cover to end all album covers.

@ladygaga is a great musician, and I am a great visual artist. Together, we are one person, with big tits and a huge dick

If you are just discovering my work, the most important thing to know about it is that you absolutely can not afford it

Glad that all you @ladygaga fans are now following me. She calls her fans "Little Monsters." I would like to call mine "Little Jeffies"

@ladygaga Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to bring my artwork to the world. Also, you have a great ass

My work for @ladygaga is flawless. It is impeccable. It will change your life with its colors, themes, and utter lack of originality

bit cocky isn't he? and is he joking when he says utter lack of originality?
