But the only state with more than 10% of the population as Asians, Gaga's biggest stans, is California.

American Asians don't Stan for her as much as Native Asians in the eastern hemisphere

Shame on them :udidnt: after Gaga donated 3 million dollars to Japan (and earned 18 million dollars in Tokyo :teehee: )!

Gov Hooka

I am also surprised by radio's lack of reception for unconditionally. Maybe it's just a first day thing. Unconditionally only played once on my cities' two top 40 stations. I hope radio thinks it's a dud as much as we do.

Perhaps Katy paid payola for them to not play it too much in the beginning but slowly build it so that it'll have monstrous longetivity? Payola I see! Payola :classy:

Or Interscope paid all radio stations to not play it :classy:

But honestly, how common is payola? Is it something normal for radio stations to be paid to play something? If Interscope wants to use payola for Venus let's say, how will radio stations react? Will they leak it?

They don't pay stations, it's a bit different

Stars show up for interviews on the stations and suddenly the song is getting 15 spins a day, they do the Jingle Ball festival a station has, their song gets put onto power rotation the day after it's announced.

IHeartRadio festival is another good example. All of the stars that performed got a lot of extra spins over the summer.

It's more about doing promotion for a station and then getting repaid in spins.

Ah, but that's just cross promotion.

Considering her standing in Netherlands since 2010, I can't tell if this is supposed to be good or bad

In more European chart news, Lady Gaga spends another week Top 10 airplay in both Spain and Germany.

In Latin America, Applause slips a bit on airplay in Brazil but holds in the Top 10 there as well.

Venus is coming at a good time I think.

Such an ODD choice. I just don't get it.

Birthday, Dark Horse, L. Lovers? How was Unconditionally picked over those?

for those who want to try to push applause to top 5 on pop, keep requesting. we just need continous positive spins till lana and jay z fall, which should be soon. at this point, its about holding on.

Well, trust me, she's still the it girl here. It's just that...

As long as she'll keep selling out 2 arena dates on every tour it'll be fine I guess :classy:
