Yeah, people who buy the single but also buy the pre-order will have their sale subtracted when the album is released. It happens to everybody. But BB still counts that sale in the Hot 100. Mariah's promo has always been huge, and her label has always used tactics to get #1s. No doubt she's a huge star with a huge record, but that record didn't just happen while her label sat back and watched. Her radio power, however, is undeniable.
