It's the most well known with the leak and lyric video + the speculation of the Telephone continuation... Keep in mind that he predicted 90,000 for Applause last week and it ended up selling 100,000 (+10,000). However his other Applause's predictions were pretty close, but not like Magoo's ! It's just there will be so many great songs on ARTPOP ... It's still selling well, and it's likely to remain in the #10-20 range until ARTPOP is released, which is perfectly fine for a single in its 10th week. And its radio update is fine as well. The biggest station in the country just took it off of PR, so the fact the overall update was positive is great. This is a single on its way out and it's still smashing. lol. I would love it if the last promo single was Gypsy, because that's the one I'm most excited to hear. And releasing a ballad as a promo might give Interscope a good indication of how it would perform as a single. But I'm also here for J&D because that would be an instant smash. Magoo 6 Posted October 17, 2013 Share Posted October 17, 2013 I noticed Wrecking Ball had a particularly big 'Complete My Album' effect on the digital sales, around -80K or about 30% of the album sales; usually CMA is in the 15-20% range and then for a lead single (We Can't Stop was -65K). This can be explained by the subtraction of songs delivered from album pre-orders which previously were not counted. We'll consequently see big drops in digital sales for Applause/Venus/DWYW/Dope when ARTPOP completes (although this does not affect the Hot 100 where the returns are now counted back).
