It would've been way smarter If they did It like month ago ... who the hell is going to rush pre ordering the album 5 days before Its release i thought it was cheap move on gaga's team yet A VERY SMART MOVE 'cuz its giving applause that exposure to buyers who simply haven't really caught on to the fact that ARTPOP is coming, that's the only way to explain that she's still in the top 3 since the announcements, if only fans had bought it then she should be out of the top 10 already the number 1 or top 3 exposure in any market is VERY GOOD, it gives that exposure to GP anyway, i wish she'd just pick her sales up on itunes when does katys 2nd single release? i think next monday when like all of her songs will be on itunes top 50 for sure Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I understand that the fanbase wasn't prepared for the lead single's "underperformance" but it's really not that bad. I mean, 1,5 million singles sold, that's a good number. Not the best one, but a pretty stable one. We all want Gaga to remain number 1 forever but that's not going to happen. Everybody has their 5 minutes of fame. Talking about the insane magnitude of the fame here, of course. She is doing fine. I am happy with Applause etc.. but I can't pretend like 1.5M isn't dissapointing to me ... The fact that I expected the single to be platinum after the 2nd week And also It's kinda sad that for Applause's entire chart run there were at least 5 songs that were more popular than It the whole time on both Hot 100 and Radio Songs ... And It's just kinda underwhelming for Lady Gaga... she was never actually overshadowed until with Applause and Roar etc..
