heavyMetalGAGA 65
Though I must stand corrected that raking #1s isn't necessarily needed in cementing a strong legacy (as proven by a lot of legendary rock bands from Pink Floyd to Queen to The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin), I find having more chart-toppers more memorable than having countless top 5 or top 10 hits. A number one is still a number one after all in the history books, isn't it? There's a handful of exceptions to that such as Thriller and perhaps even Bad Romance - but almost all the most successful solo acts of all time are the ones who earned the most #1s in the Billboard HOT 100 chart. Yea, The Stones and Zeppelin didn't have many. But I guess earning those number ones for the solo acts is important....you're making me nervous now for Gaga

Gov Hooka 8,008
In my opinion number one's are useless. It's the sales that matter. Gaga has one of the highest sales (records-singles and albums) of all the females in the business right now more than Perry/Beyonce and behind T. Swift and rihanna. Which is extremely impressive for her considering she released less singles and albums than T. Swift and Rihanna. I bet after ARTPOP she'll pass 100 million records sold worldwide-extremely impressive.

But don't worry, it took Britney more than a decade to get 5. Gaga has way more prime years to go. She's only 27 years old.

Madonna has 8?? 12 tied with rihanna except rihanna's number ones, like 4 of them come from collabs where she's featured-not legit in my opinion

She has already been promoted to have sold more than 100 million records worldwide since 2011, around the time of MTN. That X-Factor UK introduction would forever be my favourite. I'd NEVER forget that one.
