I want to hear Venus and IMMEDIATELY be blown away by it. Oh god, don't want to overhype myself but I'm so ready! If Venus is a good song, I could see a 215k debut. The holiday season low sales, airplay struggles from winter freeze, Gaga leading into it with barely any hype or promo, and lots of competition. The song itself sounds really good and i'm hoping it's strong enough with radio and the public to prove me wrong. The director for VENUS's video is known for dark + B&W videos. Can someone tell me why Dark Horse is played on the radio like it's a single? Is it just where I live? Yup. I/V weren't known for their videos; they were photographers. The Venus MV will actually be coherent and probably really interesting, just maybe not colorful. I love how she's done no promotion in the US yet she's just gonna ship off to Europe for the Venus launch.. Not that she has a choice considering Applause tanked in parts of Europe. But then it's not like the video will be ready in the US for the single launch either, she just has the barely watched YouTube awards. It's mind numbing that this era is like this with two years of planning. But she did a considerable amount of promo in the US...? Though yes I agree, Venus looks like it has nothing scheduled to hoist it up. She should probably just go to three key European cities + Sydney and maybe Tokyo, then go back to the US, all within the span of 2 weeks. Also I find it suspicious that she was unable to book a lot of award show performances, I'm sure she would have taken them. Interscope should look at this and sue people if they have to.
