Yes. Mediabase's numbers are much higher and less accurate, but they're still a solid indicator of a song's performance. They're just not the correct numbers. I've been searching through Billboard's articles for the past few days to see the actual BDS AI of GaGa's past singles, but all I've been able to turn up is that Bad Romance had at least 91,000,000 AI and Born This Way had at least 101,000,000 AI. And Applause has 80,000,000 AI as of this past Wednesday.

Yeah, but some members here insist that mediabase isnt less accurate than BDS..

now Is the time for Sex Dreams, not MANiCURE ... people won't handle a 2nd "simple" song from Gaga...  Sex Dreams or some bigger song ... and since SD > MANiCURE ... don't think It's the right 2nd single

Applause isn't a very simple song and neither is MANiCURE. Gaga said that MANiCURE sounds the most different in studio version and I just think that Sex Dreams is not a good single choice. Risky songs for Gaga are good but the only not risky song seems to be IWBWY, Sex Dreams is risky in the wrong way. Gaga needs musically innovative/risky singles and not lyrically. Also please see the difference between risky because it's a new sound to Pop Radio or risky because it's about something not radio-friendly.

It's not that it's less accurate, per se, because the positions are generally the same as Nielsen's. But the actual numbers aren't correct, because it uses people to monitor the airplay, while Nielsen uses computers. You can argue all you want, but there's a reason Billboard uses Nielsen rather than Mediabase.
