have they truly been moved up to 9/30?

That's what I was informed on this thread :fat: apparently it's already available in other countries though.

I can confirm. Already purchased it in my Australian iTunes. That's why I was asking if it's only beneficial to do single downloads in the US.

Let's hope Applause ends up having more longevity than that LOL.

By the end of its chat run, BTW was at 2.931 million. Which means after it stopped charting, it sold a million copies - and actually, that's pretty amazing longevity if you think about it. If Applause could sell 2 million during its chart run and sell a million after that I'd be more than happy. But, seeing how Applause is selling more consistently than BTW, it could very well keep charting for a couple more months and sell at least 2.5 million by the time it drops off, which means it actually won't be that far off from BTW.

Im not sure if ARIA counts remixes for Applause's chart position. (If that's what you're asking)

Idk about internationally, but it's definitely beneficial in the U.S. We really have to spread this around. All fans must buy the individual remixes up until iTunes automatically does CMA - if that happens, we'll lose all those sales.

Ahh okay. I thought it was 2.8 million. I guess I was just adding on a million. lol.

I guess Applause isn't TOO far off then...

I just looked at Roar's numbers. And it seems by the end of its 7th week, it will definitely pass the 2.8 million mark.   I didn't really notice that it's that HUGE until these comparisons.

Anyway, I'm still hoping Applause would reach 2x platinum by the middle of November. And 3x platinum by the time of the GRAMMYs next year.

Damn. So Roar is gonna be another 5 million seller for Katy then?

There's 6 weeks until the album so if she sells 140K until November, she'll reach the 2 million mark the week before the album release.

Now I kinda want her to hold off on that second single.

Anyone wanna request on OHP to try to get a second play?

I think these numbers are very realistic. I think Applause will end up as a 3x platinum single, probably selling around the same as Telephone. Which, all in all, isn't bad.

And Roar is quite unbelievable. Although it could fall off at any minute, just like BTW did. It could end up being one of Katy's best selling singles ever, or could end as one of her moderately selling singles.
