Valextra 58 Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I think but I'm pretty sure, like 'Judas', the new single will release in the middle of October (one month before ARTPOP) since 'Applause' is still on the top10 and great on the radio, and the video premiere will be in the days near the release album, 3-4 days before will be perfect for increase the selling and promotion, hope for Akerlund or Bad Romance director. But definitely we'll have the second single in short time because I think in one month and half 'Applause' won't be enough for album promotion.. I would like a buzz single like 'Dark Horse', 'Jewels N' Drugs' will be perfect for the urban radio and public, but I don't think so, we'll see.. I wonder what is being cooked behind closed doors. I'm starting to think that Rihanna will be on ARTPOP; even though Gaga denied the rumour, it was before she tweeted that squirrels are being added to the tree, so it's still possible: remember ARTPOP is about possibilities. I think neither the 2nd single should be released nor should the album be promoted heavily before the release the PRISM. We all saw how it went for Applause vs Roar. Katy is riding high: she has 2 songs in itunes top 3 and 3 overall in the top 10. At this rate, PRISM is set to set over a million copies in its first week (I can only see the stan war about the 99 cents happening). Honestly, 2nd single and album promotion should kick full gear no earlier than Oct 28. 2 weeks of heavy promotion are enough; more would be overexposure. Woah, do you really think Prism can sell that? Anyway, I hope his guess is accurate :P Well, Gaga already said that the 2nd single will come before the release of the album, so even if Jeff is just making stuff up, those 3-4 weeks seem very likely since the album is here in 5-6 weeks from now.
