I think not giving out the tracklist to your loyal fanbase when you say were going to is starting off on the wrong foot for a successful promo plan? How is Gaga supposed to appeal to the general public if she's turning off several members of her fanbase? (I'm not turned off/I'll be a fan until the end, I just wish we had the tracklist). How has the era not even started yet? it started the day Applause leaked on august 12th Well, she did apologize for it. Things changed yesterday, **** happens. Being an artist isn't just a big glamour piece of cake. I'm sorry if you can't accept that. That's the thing, maybe she counts the start of the era when the real promo starts. Gaga gives herself to her fans - so please apprieciate a nice, carring, hard working human being that has given so much to us . And sometimes it is nice to receive a Thank You instead of being rediculed because of a tiny thing. Just take in the moment on what she has done? How has she improved your lives. I am not going to list it because we all need to think about the past and present (including this - track listing) I have read and it seems to be the populair thing to do for singers to be late performing. I have not ever read Gaga being that disreasptful to her fans. You can not rush perfection - she is a actual super star in music and she has and does support her fans. She handed it in today, it's now in prime LEAK territory so it almost surely will be dropped the 11th or rushed out if the whole thing leaks too far before then. The good morning america performance and iTunes festival should have been the beginning of a huge wave of promo for APPLAUSE but that's all we've really gotten. As Applause begins to fade out of the Hot 100, Gaga's team should ready a new single soon, and start promoting the album the right way. TV. more radio interviews, and performances. I suggest she releases a new single in Mid October rather than Late October/Early November because the more promo singles Katy releases the more the GP focuses on them instead of Applause. Gaga needs to reenter the music market, as Applause fades. Applause was a nice step in the right direction but It needs to be killed by mid October so the new single can be released and begin to takeover. I agree and disagree with this post. For one, the promo for applause and ARTPOP as a whole is considerably lacking, that's obvious at this point. Everyone was saying how gaga broke madonnas pre-order record on iTunes yet the album is 108, I get the GP doesn't know any of the tracks like we already know 8, but that number is horrid. She tweeted that "lots more performances of applause coming your way!" We got 1...and I don't know when she's planning on going on x-factor because the second single is going to be out by the end of October. However, applause isn't fading on the hot 100. Yes, it dropped one spot last week, however, billboard dates are from Sunday to Sunday. And applause was #5 4 of the 7 days this past week on iTunes and now is #6. Not to mention it continues to get green updates on radio. So needless to say, she got lucky that the public liked it enough that it's stable on the charts and radio. The remix album sales will also count for NEXT week hot 100 and I could imaging it will jump 2 spots. I think this week it'll be #7, and next will be #5 and the next single should be out by 10/28. Her team just needs to start promoting. I don't get the big deal anyways, we're getting a track listing, I get that the songs may not be finished, but she doesn't know which songs will make the cut at this point, just find it bizarre. I think her and her teamed learned from Born This Way that singles are interscopes business and if they are to tank then that is on them (apart from the art direction i.e. performances and music videos). After all it has always been about the album and the bigger picture for her. So when she says "The era hasn't even started yet.", I believe that. Sure the promo sucks for Applause and the album right now but I think once things begin to be set in motion for the album in the upcoming weeks, things are going to get serious- especially after Born This Way. I cant possibly think that they would just let this "come back" album sit without much attention. Im sure things are just a little crazy right now with trying to finish the album and making sure its perfect. We just need to be patient and supportive. Emphasis placed on being supportive...
