notamember 667
I'm so glad this wonderful song is getting the longevity it deserves. If we are lucky, it will continue to rise. I just wish the GP had better taste in pop music..........

superman 32
exhale is having a major meltdown cause they are afraid work b---h will fall under applause only 4 days after its release lol karma got them real good:)i love brit but i enjoy thins honestly. on topic: i think gaga decided to save the real promo for the second single or the album as a whole instead of burning out for applause since they saw its not a mega hit. thats why she only did like two tv performances.in born this way she had a zillion performances.its like a smooth introduction.i hope the album slays!i listened again today to s-x dreams and my two faves so far swine and ARTPOP! Mama Ru 994
Ah okay, seriously this isn't even close to a flop Yea, I'm trying to get that communicated to people. Thank you! It's not some record-breaking smash, but it's still a definite hit (that's showing longevity! ) and so not a flop in any way. I'm pretty happy, personally. Im blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich, and I'm a little bit of a bitch.
Economy 49,247
it's having longevity so far! a month and a bit is hardly longevity songs that go #1 are often 3 months in the top 10 on radio it just seems like longevity cause its growth has been steady... while i have faith in applause, its still too early to say it has longevity! brdn08 12
If you asked me I think Applause had a real opportunity to be number 1. It still does but I don't really think they are pushing this single very hard. I don't think she has done any real work to expand her fanbase either. Maybe she's content with her following but I think if you examine any real legendary artists, then the common thread is that their music is appreciated across age, racial, gender, and socioeconomic groups. I think it's the one concept from "The Fame" period that Gaga has lost. Many people say The Fame was not her best work but I would argue it's live performance and promotion attracted a much larger and diverse fanbase. You can't really second guess Gaga because her tour numbers are so massive but you have to wonder whether can she sustain that level of stardom if her promotion continues to only seem focused at her die hard fans. NOW CLIMB BITCH!!!! I SAID CLIMB BITCH!!!! hasn't it been 5 6-4-6-7-7 ??? am i mistaken ? if i am correct me
