News shows in the US have a LOOOOT of commercials. We normally have three commercial breaks every half-hour; one at the beginning (like right after the opening credits), one halfway through a show, and one when the show is over before the next show begins. But news shows have them after almost every segment DX

 

It's how the channels make money, I guess :sweat:

 

Ah ok, that is the same here then  :) The only difference is we have no adverts on our bbc news channels, but then again we have to pay for a T.V license   :nails: Thanks for answering!

It seems a bit too artificial for me as well  :(

But I guess all mass tv channels are like that in one way or another. Maybe not to the same degree, but...
