Question tho:

Is Conchita a drag character? Seeing a lot of sources saying that, whilst Conchita is genderqueer, Tom Neuwirth (the 'creator' of Conchita) still identifies as a gay male? Can anyone help clear up my confusion? :)

well im gay so im not a homophobe. Im just stating my opinion.

If you are gay, that doesnt mean you cant be transphobic and you probably are. Gay transphobic are actually something usual in Eastern Europe.

It's polite to refer to trans-xuals by their preferred gender. Unless you're just pressed. :emma:

Well then I'm just confused cause first it's a woman, then it's gender neutral. She it is.

No I'm fed up with those stupid act who win just because they act weird.

Maybe next year we should send someone with a d.ck on the head, that'll rake the votes I see.

ooh good idea hun, lemme know how it goes xx

I don't get it, are the votes because of the songs or because "Oh, I like this country"? :flop:

Both.

For example, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia all gave 0 points to Russia and 12 points to the Netherlands despite their big Russian population (like 40%?) and the Netherlands being so far away from them. That is a good example of the people liking the song a lot.

But a country like Armenia gives 12 points to Russia because it's so close to them and because of the immigrants.

Many European countries have a lot of Armenian and Turkish immigrants, which explains the 12 points from countries like Austria.

And I told y'all the LGBT community exists in every country. 8 points from Romania, 7 points from Russia, 12 points from Georgia for Austria and a measly 7 from Germany.

no im not. I already said it. Im just sad about the fact that someone wins a song contest just because she/he is different.

Austria received 290p which means they are now 4th in the Top 10 of the most received points :legend:

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Netherlands  didn't expect that

Everybody did :emma: Israel has one of the biggest gay communities in the world percentage-wise. Especially in Tel Aviv, 'the gay capital of the world'.

I don't have any hate against transgendered people. I just don't understand them. And that's called an opinion. Not transphobia and hatred. No quotes pls.

She doesnt won just because she is different. She won because she had a good song, the kind that makes an impretion on this kind of contest, she had good voice and she put out a good, simple performance that had a good stunt. If you cant see that, if you cant hear the people singing with her or the biggest applause of the entire night, I dont know whats your problem?

If you would have just want to share your opinion, you wouldnt be here continuing pages after pages sharing hate.

I agree in that I think that The Netherlands had a better song, and I also agree that Austria wouldn't have won without the beard. But you can't deny that Conchita raises interesting discussions about what we see as 'normal'. He's (or 'she's') just someone who expresses himself through his appearances and likes to dress/look a certain way. And on top of that he has a good voice and loves to sing. Who are we to judge?

Let's not forget that we're all fans of a woman who has been blased for 'acting weird for attention', just because of the way she dresses. And there's no way in hell she would've been this famous without that.
