Dayman 5,989 Posted September 4, 2013 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Funny. She talks about an "new album" before ARTPOP (volume 1) can be bought. Sometimes I think she thinks too far in the furture. It's not really a new album as much as of an extension of the existing project. She wrote 50+ songs for ARTPOP, of course it wouldn't end at the 15 we are getting on the album. For all we know Volume 2 could just be a physical release of the songs that she will be adding to the app. That way they can get single releases. RedandBlue 287 Posted September 4, 2013 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Knew she would do this. I don't think it means splitting the albums into "art" and "pop" however. "ARTPOP" is Gaga. I wouldn't be surprised if many more albums were "ARTPOP" albums (ie Led Zeppelin, II, III, IV). It's almost as if this is her self-titled work. Besides, what would the next album be, not ARTPOP? Every song she does is ARTPOP, she just hasn't specifically labeled the work as such until now. It's kind of strange to think about where she can go from here as ARTPOP is such a broad term for her work, yet it truly defines her and the music she puts out. Just imagine if The Fame Monster had twice the amount of songs and was instead called The Fame Vol 2. Because that's what an ARTPOP Volume 2 would be like in relation to ARTPOP.
