Ricochetmatt 0
Theyll censor out "touch myself'. Thats about it. Song unharmed. We literally grew up with some of the raunchiest pop music on radio yet for some reason you all find Sex Dreams to be too risque. It makes absolutely no sense. The word "b---h" is censored on the radio. A song about wet dreams and masturbation is probably going to be seen as even more offensive. Not that I wouldn't like seeing Sex Dreams as a single. Cause I do like the song. But.... Eh. I think it's a bad idea.
Bellatrix 34,790
OH MY GOTH, I CAN'T WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! I love Gaga and I adore this fanbase (don't give a flying phuck about what people say on Little Monsters, I think we rule), but can we PLEASE enjoy the goddam music for a minute and STOP obsessing over charts? It's really frustrating to see that some of you could only be capable of enjoying her work if the "general public" digests it, or of it tops the charts... -_- ... and as much as I think is really cute that you all want her to succeed commercially, we should remember that she makes MUSIC, and as far remember we are here because, we like her songs. We sing her songs, we dance her songs, we relate to some of her songs, etc, etc. If she doesn't obsess (that much) with charts, why should we? she is asking the fans: "which song would you like the most for the next single?" (which is NICE, a cute gesture, positive stuff), we get the chance to send her some feedback, and if we are lucky, some of us MIGHT actually get to see our favourite track from ARTPOP (so far) become a single. That's a COOL thing, positive, happy thing :-D , buuuuuuuut instead of being happy, and enjoying that we FINALLY got to hear new songs, we got a new video, and an AMAZING, CATCHY, FUN retro-dance/noir lead single (yes, I totally made up a definition for "Applause"... XD), you people are b---hing because the GP this, the GP that... it really seems like it's a forum devoted to the general public, and chart positions. I'm absolutely NOT saying that you should love "Applause" or the new "ARTPOP" songs just because "it's Gaga". It's really ok if you didn't liked the songs, and if you want to express, DO IT!! that's great, it's always nice to have a fanbase that's open to constructive criticism, BUT, judging EVERY F*CKING THING SHE MAKES, based on "the GP's opinion", and the chances of her work to flop, or not, is really, REALLY depressing. I love this forum, been reading it for a while, and I decided to log in today, because, I knew this would happen, and I felt the urge to raise my voice against it. When I saw that post on FB asking the fans to pick the favourite choice for the next single, I was like: "I bet in GagaDaily all fans are dragging the songs because they think they would flop", like... I so knew it ... XD . And the VERY first word I read when I come to this thread is "flop" :-P . I think we should really cut it with this crap, I mean: I'd like to come here to discuss Lady GaGa's work, NOT the "general public" sh*tty taste, or how much all songs released should be stupid and generic, so everyone would like them. You can't obsess on pleasing everyone, cause you NEVER will, you just gotta do your thing, and be happy, and honest. I love Gaga for her art, not because the general public accepted her. ***sorry for the long ass rant, but I was collapsing after reading the word "flop" over and over, when it's not even the case*** Noooooooooow, back on topic: I'm going for "Aura", I ADORE that track, and I'm sure its video would be INSANE :-D PS: I'm new, hi! ... XD Wow, your first post her turned out to be really great! Congrats, and welcome :part: All Gaga wants is to be outside the typical pop box, she's going for it, by writing differet music. She knows it might not hit the top of the charts, but does she care? No! She has sad several times that she just wants do to the music she wants to do. So just.. let go! Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Bellatrix 34,790
Charts and hoping Gaga has the mind to be release singles responsibly is very important. I know Gaga claims she feels otherwise... But this is a pop star we all look up to. We don't want her going out there and making a fool of herself. It also makes us look bad as fans. lol She's not just a regular pop star. You heard her at the iTunes Festival. I'm sure she's willing to take risks and I'm sure GGD would've crashed because of meltdowns if she didn't take risks. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction? lodylody 1,746
At the pathetic people trying to drag MANiCURE by calling it "TRANiCURE", you need to have a deep look at yourself to realise how horrible that is. And as for my opinion? All of these songs are going to flop. Take your pic at her second single that doesn't go into the TOp 10 tbh

Divinyls - I Touch Myself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv-34w8kGPM this song is about masturbation and went #1 in Australia and #4 in the US I don't think it's the GP that are prudes, I think it's the people on this website lmao. I agree with you, some of the **** ive heard on the radio is so blatantly s-xual lol. Britney Spears had a freakin song that spelled out F-U-C-K ME for christ sake. RAMROD 109,378
Metros-xuals still exist? I thought they all just decided to finally come out of the closet... She's better than that. And this is why her picking and choosing of singles is important. She's got a reputation to live up to. If she puts out MANiCURE... She might as well be on the same boat and Miley and Katy and that annoying chick who sang "call me maybe".
thunderzap00 122
All you queens who think MANiCURE will be "eaten up by THE GP" have NO idea what you're talking about. The song is gay as hell. Most of the population ISN'T gay. The first verse is cringe worthy - "Put some lipstick on, perfume your neck and slip your high heels on"... what the ****? :eww: You do know woman are the most populated gender in the world right ... so that first line in the song you already have caught the majority population. Why is it just gays that you keep thinking of? Woman use lipstick, perfume and slip high heels on... #TheMoreYouKnow
ryhanna 3,507
I don't think some of you understand how prudish the US can be, and even more so because it's Gaga. Sex Dream's radio edit will sound like crap LMAO. Blurred Lines is a raunchy song (bordering on s-xist too btw), has a very controversial and highly s-xual music video, and it's an explosive hit. The Divinyls song, literally titled "I Touch Myself" hit #4 in the US in 1990. Erotica by Madonna peaked at #3 in the US. Those are three highly s-xual songs that the US ate up. I think Sex Dreams would be fairly safe. Honestly, I don't really care too much what the next single is. I loved all of the songs aside from Jewels N' Drugs, so I'm fine with whatever happens. Mama Ru 994
I like you this place is really negative . I think everyone means well (in that we all want what's best for Gaga but have different opinions on what that is) but yeah...it's getting really petty and insensitive and flat-out mean up in this thread tonight for some reason. I know everything can't always be all cheery and happy, but we just got to hear a bunch of new tracks after waiting for what seemed like ages and now we have the opportunity to give Gaga our input on the next single choice. We should be celebrating and respecting one another's opinions, not bitterly arguing like we're debating war with Syria or something. This is pop music. We should be having fun and coming together. Im blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich, and I'm a little bit of a bitch.

When she thanks us on stage, for believing in her I actually ask myself if us fans really do believe in her, since I've read a lot of doubts and other sad stuff here. Plus, she has Interscope by her side. So it's not our job to tell her which songs who are gonna flop or not. We don't have a clue. Our job is to just enjoy the music, the performances and interviews an so on. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Yes...but that's not exactly radio friendly. Point blank ...MANiCURE is catchier and the better second single. I'm done beating a dead horse. I love Sex Dreams but the former is a better choice.
