Combine that with Robin Thickes handsome face, a catchy chorus, and amidst the whole retro groove trend going on currently with JT and Bruno Mars and the song was destined for chart dominance. MANiCURE is a pop stomp cheesefest with its man-cure/MANiCURE alliteration and cheesy 80s glam rock vibe. It will not smash to any degree. Born This Way was full of cheesefests, Hair comes to mind when I think of MANiCURE if a comparison could be made. Sex Dreams is cooler. Sex Dreams is more appealing within the current pop climate. Blah blah blah I respectfully disagree. MANiCURE is without a doubt the most catchy and radio friendly song she has that we know thus far. Sex Dreams chorus is pretty good but the verses are very un-pop. MANiCURE in every aspect of its structure has the potential of being a huge hit. The fact that you find it cheesy is subjective to your opinion, I love the era it's trying to go for and it does so well. It also greatly feels like a song from The Fame era ... lyrically speaking. Gaga doesn't create basic stuff that sounds the same and it shows. Id be torn because all have very positive strengths and i think swine is an amazing dance track with an edge but a not so strong chorus. Aura has its controversy but the chorus is amazing. MANiCURE is a powerhouse commercially and would be the safest single but to some that means bland. To others it yells powerful. Then s-x dreams has quite possibly the most different sound of the choices but really captures the essence of a dirty hot dream that makes people feel a certain way ;) i love them all. I guess we will see what happens though. Iwouldnt mind any of them really. I just hope she waits till late october to debut the next single. Gaga's name is what saved it from being a complete flop on radio and the fact that it was the first single from her new album so it had the hype train behind it.
