She keep saying "I'm going to change the world" "with ARTPOP I'm going to conquer the planet earth." "Judge me on the album" as if she is sure to have a BIG HIT in her hands. If she flops this will be a great letdown for fans to deal with.

almost all the songs she performed so far are radio friendly, i can't picture them flopping since songs like MANiCURE, s-x dreams, and swine is exactly what the public wants from her.

I was wondering this myself b/c we don't know what the GP likes and what sells; further, it seems that Katy Perry is entering her imperial phase (Roar sales was phenomenal), and PRISM might outsell ARTPOP, who knows.  However, judging by the tracks so far, ARTPOP is going to be an amazing album regardless of sales, so perhaps what Gaga is saying is to judge her on the quality of her album, not on isolated single such as Applause.  I mean, Gaga wasn't even going to have Applause on the album but was pressured by Iovine and Interscope to include it.

 

I think what Gaga is saying is that she knows the album is great (and that's where her confidence is coming from) and by extension, it should sell very well.
