High King

When do you hear the "We could be caught, we're both convicted criminals of thought" part?

It's the first lyric.

When do you hear the "We could be caught, we're both convicted criminals of thought" part?

It's slow, like "We....... Could..... Be caught..." Then the rest runs smoothly

I don't even understand what she's singing in ANY of the videos and I don't like Sex Dreams for now, MANiCURE's vocal effects >>>>

High King

0:00 - 0:13

We... could... be caught

We're both convicted criminals of though

0:17 - 0:34

That's why/what (inaudible)

Here we are (inaudible)

(inaudible)

0:35 - 1:05

Heard your boyfriend was away this weekend
(Wanna meet at my place?)
Heard that we both got nothin' to do
When I lay in bed I touch myself and I think a' you
Last night, damn
You were in my s-x dreams
(Doing really nasty things)

Can anyone hear the missing lyrics?

I can't at ya'll thinking this would be good 1st (or any) single material and what's with all the Applause & BTW era bashing?

Applause has the same 'larger than life' quality that Born This Way (song) has. BTW defining her being (I am that way, deal with it), Applause defining her doing (as a jester, living to entertain). It is a easily promotable song with depth and an amazing theme that offers a large spectrum of meanings, concepts and layers of understanding.

Sex Dreams could never be promotable, it talks about adultery and nasty s-x, you know how the GP responds to that. We know it has a greater meaning but the first reaction would have alienated her so so much with the GP. It's so sultry, filthy and intoxicating it would never come across as a (feminist) s-xual liberation anthem either.

I think the first reaction would have been a huge Madonna Sex era comparison backlash. She's been naked all the time lately and not extremely blamed for it because within an artistic concept that is far from s-xuality. Imagine that with Sex Dreams, "Desperate naked Gaga tries to sell s-x" I can already see it.

I love the grotesque aspect this era is taking with the swine theme, the clown make-up and the crafty shell punk look. Sex Dreams could eventually fit into that if she makes it a point to bring out the grotesque in pop culture and the world's fear of s-x, especially s-xual women. But she kinda needs to prepare the ground if she wants to mess with people's insecurities, be it with Aura/Burqa or Sex Dreams.

Don't take it the wrong way, I am LIVING for that snippet, but I'm sure that right now, as a single, it would undermind all the serious deep work she's put out before. I think this is a song for the fans, because we adore her as a highly s-xual, fearless 'talk about everything' figure, and we know that this doesn't define her.
