Ugh they didn't post sales for ARTPOP this week. Closest were 20 Rebecca Ferguson 29,078 (62,864) & 41 Avicii 10,752 (106,021). ARTPOP was at #29 so it's kind of tricky to guess what she got :toofunny: I'm assuming it is over 20k though. Definitely a considerably nice increase on last week in any case.

Some single sales:

12 Mariah Carey 21,185 (985,720)
15 The Pogues/ Kirsty MacColl 17,543

Nothing on Dwuw but she's at #14 so probably 18-19k

Katy's performance  :deadbanana:  the ruthless dragfest  :deadbanana:

My best friend - he doesn't care about charts, pop music, etc - saw the show and told me how he was embarrassed by her performance.

Poor Katy. Ruining her career by promoting :rip:

Honestly, Gaga should've gone and done an acoustic version of DWUW or Gypsy, it'd cause lots of hype for being a better performance, she'd get lots of ticket sales because there would be lots of replies such as "At least Gaga can sing" whenever Gaga's mentioned in the same sentence as Katy, just imagine :emma:

Why won't Katy perform on The Voice US just before Gaga?

Katy performance was not more bad than usual.

I agree, but these are the X Factor finals so I guess people were expecting something better from her...

Well, I always expect something worst from her live performances. The public needs to educate himself. :toofunny:

There's a daily mail article with over 300 comments on Katy's X-Factor performance at

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2524283/X-Factor-final-2013-Katy-Perry-lights-stage-dressed-winged-caged-gold-bird--fails-impress-patchy-vocals.html

but I note a comment there on Gaga:

"its odd how gaga's performance got criticized for being 'raunchy' but at least she backed it up with good vocals, instrument playing and stage presence"

with 81 likes and only 3 dislikes

... people realising how good Gaga is, and this should eventually translate into more album and tour sales

The problem is tho that mothers won't by a Gaga CD for their offspring because they just don't get it or it's too s-xual (ARTPOP).

It's a safe bet to go for Katy Perry and her mediocre-but-not-offending-anyone-Prism. Mothers with daughters will go to the concert as a mommy-kid gathering while singing Roar together.

I can't imagine a lot of moms wanting to take their kids to a Gaga performance while jamming to Do What you want (to my body)  (I am tho, I'm taking my 10 year old haha).

21. Lady Gaga: ARTPOP
Released: November 11
Chart peak: No. 1

We said: "The amount of hits on ARTPOP considerably outweighs the misses (there's a brilliant 10-track album to be found in it); though not all of them will necessarily present themselves on first listen."

can't believe they think Prism is better :smh: they haven't revealed the top 15, so i'm assuming it's in there somewhere :fail:
