MonsterMum 2,532
Radio both in the US and the UK is determined to shove Katy down our throats. But, as sales and charts positions of Unconditionally show, understandably, we're finally beginning to show signs of being more than a bit miffed with this strategy. Katy has likely been A listed in anticipation of her upcoming XF final performance in a last ditch attempt to make the song a hit because, you know, she's Katy Perry, and the quality of the song is irrelevant because she's nothing but a hit machine, so she needs those sales. Gaga isn't favoured on radio anymore because she's had her peak. If DWUW was released back then, it would probably still be A listed. Of course, if anyone else that isn't Gaga is doing well in the charts, they'll remain on the A list. But because it's Gaga doing well and radio doesn't seem to want her anymore, she isn't allowed any extra support. And then the haters have the cheek to laugh at Gaga for flopping, when in reality, the only reason their faves do well is because they actually get fair and balanced promotion. Totally agree with this, dropping DWUW from A list is just about ridiculous!
