1D better not get that #1. They already had their chance. I don't understand how it's still selling and had such an amazing boost after all this time as the only people who download their singles are their fans...who already downloaded it weeks ago.

A-listed + X Factor performance + album release hype.

I cannot believe that they took it off the A-List. It didn't even go top ten on airplay yet ... It's still top ten on iTunes, people are obviously here for it. Radio 1 are so backwards sometimes.

They better get this video out soon or all the potential this song has is gonna be wasted tbh :fat:

We should just hope that Capital FM will keep loving it surrounding her performance at the JBB.

Nooo

Can they put it back next week?

Is it similiar to Power Rotation in the US?

Nope, once a song has been dropped that's it

I know, but like I said, that doesn't help if it's just the fans who buy their stuff. That's why lots of teen popstars get off to an amazing start and then freefall and don't come back. Even the fans buying it in the first week could only get them to #4, so it's weird how it's still rising after all this time, especially as the album was released last week. Once their album is released, 1D's single performance always decreases dramatically, so I don't understand this. I had no idea the song was A-listed. I always thought 1D were really easy to avoid, radio-wise, because there's no demand for their songs and DJs likely hate them.

Why would Radio 1 do that? It's still quite new and fresh song... are they acting like this only with Gaga or are they quite often like that with newer songs? Just hard to understand why would they do that with a big artist and a great song... And there's like NO change that they will put it back?

How big of an effect is being dropped from Radio 1 going to have on DWUW's chart run? (I don't know anything about UK radio :rip: )

It depends on the song. Sometimes a song starts free falling on iTunes, sometimes not. Anyway, it is a negative effect.

:noparty: Hopefully the Beats commercial + video (if we ever get it :derpga: ) will keep it stable.

You don't HAVE to have the support of Radio 1 to have a hit single. There are songs that have done it. If other radios keep playing it then it might be enough. But its performance on iTunes did pick up drastically once it started to get A-List plays. We'll see.

Also it doesn't have a video yet and TV channels usually play her videos a lot so that might be enough to keep it sustained too. I'm a bit worried now though tbh...
