They should have held off the release until Sunday to be honest but I guess they didn't know it was going to become the second single. The best thing they could do at this point would be to release a single version on Sunday and make the album version album only but they've already lost a good portion of sales from fans. Karl 3,243 Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 This could definately still work for the UK if she performs DWUW and releases it as a standalone single, the first week's sales were only really concentrated in the first couple of days anyway from fans, the GP will probably be hearing it for the first time on Sunday so theres massive potential. SoldierDown 49 Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 They need to to either put up a DWUW single on iTunes ASAP, or just make it unavailable altogether so people buy it when ARTPOP's released and it's able to chart (if radio start playing it and she performs it and a video comes out etc. there could still be a big enough buzz for it to do well then). Venus wouldn't do good as a single so I take back saying she should keep to the original performance :/ I think DWUW would go down better. Even if she can't chart with it, it still has the same effect as a single would do if it is sent to radios, has a video, promo etc. Public don't actually give a **** about charts so it will still be a hit single to them. It can still resonate with the public and be huge without a little number next to it on Wikipedia. The most important thing is that it promotes the album, right?
