Nicki Minaj - Anaconda, Ella Henderson - Glow, and DJ Fresh's song with Ellie Goulding all get released on the 5th October! I wonder which will go number 1?

Can someone please explain to me why Bang Bang is at #1, even with a 2 month pre-order? I just don't get how this song has gained any traction. The only time I heard it get UK promotion was when it was used as a background song on the first episode of X Factor (which I thought was ridiculous as it wasn't even released yet, don't get how that's legal). Jessie, Ariana and Nicki haven't done any UK promo with this track whatsoever, their only public appearance of it being at the MTV awards, which aren't shown on mainstream UK channels and aren't that cared for here anyway. I just don't get how anyone in the UK who isn't a major Ariana/Jessie/Nicki fan (and let's face it, there's very few of those) or follows pop music very closely (again, there's very few of those) would even be aware that this song exists. And it still baffles me why this is being considered the lead single from Jessie's album when it was on the deluxe edition of Ariana's and might possibly be on the deluxe of Nicki's. Jessie didn't even write her verse. It's not her song in more ways than one, so it's despicable that it's being identified as hers just to boost her failing career. But it doesn't really matter anyway. The public won't regard this as Jessie's success as the only thing that matters is your solo work and it's doubtful that Jessie's ever going to get a solo #1 again. Oh, and I bet even if it does go to #1, there'll still be no UK promo of it to thank us for being the only country that got it to the top. Jessie's stationed in the US now: she doesn't give two hoots about the UK anymore, even though we, like, invented her, as Regina George would say.

it's quite big on radio right now. Also, it's three artists working on one song, so their fanbases must add up in helping it be so high

Alt-J have got UK #1 album on lock for next week, their new album 'this is all yours' is highly anticipated and could open with 60,000.

Sam Smith expected to stay strong and hold on to that #2 spot, and it's now Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga battling against Ed Sheeran's X for the 3rd spot.

Working this out, Cheek To Cheek will probably sell about 20K first week in the UK.
