She won't - the confirmed performers have been released and she's not one of them. Ella Henderson on the 26th, Ed Sheeran on the 27th, The Vamps on the 28th, will.i.am on the 29th (ironically with his new song, Birthday), Attraction + Richard and Adam on the 31st and the June 7th final will feature Little Mix + Diversity and while not confirmed, we all know that Cheryl Cole's "secret performance" on BGT final leaked ages ago and the final has always featured two guest performers. Most BGT guest performers are UK acts, it wouldn't be right if two acts had a song called Birthday and Katy has already been promoted twice on one of Cowell's shows. I think there's some sort of rule that determines how much you can be promoted on one programme or its sister programmes. I think this is why it's not unusual to see Rihanna perform twice on X Factor, but never on BGT because she's already used up her quota of promotion on Cowell's networks. It also explains why BGT guest performers are nearly always British and not exactly the biggest stars the country has produced, because the biggest ones tend to save themselves for XF. And thank goodness for that because everytime I see yet another piece of Katy Perry UK promo, I'm reminded of how very differently ARTPOP could've turned out if Gaga's team had promoted her better here. And I don't think it's fair that Katy's had all the best UK promo she could've possibly got. It's not realistic for haters to say that Katy's slaying Gaga because Gaga had nowhere near the equal amount of promo that she did.

cheryl has actually been confirmed :)

I'm glad Birthday missed TOP 20... It's such a horrible song...

She should have released Legendary Lovers :legend:

Beyonce and Sam Bailey both out of top 60 with double digit drop.

Kylie is having a tough era but I new she'd outlast Sam. KMO up 5 to #52.

Kylie's KMO in UK: 2-8-13-17-38-57-73-86-57-52

Total sales between 60-65k.

Lily's 1-6-11 opening is very similar, Other than Ellie, Paloma Faith is most successful female now.

Just saw that Ellie will release a 7th single (Flashlights) in the UK, I miss the time where Gaga could release that much singles from one album T_T

Me too, I'm glad to see my prediction of the song tanking held true. If this was truly what the public wanted, I'd be at a loss for words. I don't know what the fascination is with all these birthday themed songs lately, as none have been successful. Prism is such an odd album in the sense that it's very safe, and at the same time very risky. It's safe with the generic, non-offensive, simple songs, but there's a lot of ballads which have never been Katy's strength from a commercial standpoint and and some that are too zany. Birthday was an awful choice for a single and I don't know what her label were smoking when they thought that was a good idea. Legendary Lovers is going to be a single at some point, apparently. But I don't know if it's more of a summer or autumn song. But after the way Birthday's performing, it might have to be the next single, so things are picked up again. Katy's very much in a hit-flop-hit-flop situation and she can't have two flops in a row. It's weird to think that with her last album, all 8 singles went #1 or top 10 in the UK and this time, she has two singles that failed to go top 20, one of which was the second single that had brilliant promo. It really goes to prove that song choice matters and the public aren't always the sheep we like to think they are.

So true :applause:

Even with HUGE radio support, if people don't like the song, it's not going to become a hit...
