Gaga only fell 60 to 62, despite multiple new releases.

Katy and Miley fell more positions, despite having a single in top 40.

I think the tour announcement helped.

Yes! And with GUY, I think she can recover even more

other than the superbowl and the grammys, none of which are that big here, is there any particular reason for this increase:

UK
16 (32) Unorthodox Jukebox [61 weeks]
46 (92) Doo-Wops & Hooligans [161 weeks]

81 (193) Locked Out of Heaven [57 weeks]
96 (180) Treasure [38 weeks]

?

i mean bloody hell... the album

Both cause media hype all around the world and the GRAMMYs must have some people watching/talking. In my country, The Netherlands, I know a few people who watched a part of it and these 4 girls who were discussing the reaction Taylor (gif) and Katy's grammy-less life.

but grammys was last week and that pushed it up to #32. #16 is a hell of a lot higher considering daft punk who won album of the year went from #29 to #67 this week, and many others who got boosts have massively fallen. he didn't perform at the grammys either did he? maybe it's the superbowl then... it must be.

lol the taylor gif

Trust me, the Super Bowl does have some global hype, especially media hype. And perhaps he got more airplay because of radio DJs talkimg about his performance and afterwards spinning his songs?

The SuperBowl IS pretty popular here tbh. I know so many people that watch it. Most of the people on my timeline were watching it, and I know many university student unions have Super Bowl nights. All of the ones at mine did and there was tons of people at the one I went to.

yeah you're right i know a lot of people who watched it too but i dunno... i didn't think the impact would be this big because his hype wasn't as big as beyonce's and i don't remember '4' having much of a boost last time. but then again beyonce has more albums than bruno and she also performed some destiny's child songs (i think) so maybe her sales gain was more spread across different albums/singles.

Hmm yeah but 4 had been out for nearly 2 years by the time she performed at the Super Bowl, and it wasn't that well promoted to begin with, singles weren't that big etc. Bruno's album is still a bit fresher in the mind and his singles were big here and he's still on radio regularly. So that's probably why it helped him more.

The internet has broke down barriers between UK and North America. Now that I get most of my news from the net rather than TV, I can just as easily visit the Guardian or Daily Mail or Economist sites as anything here  UK only music acts are as accessible as American ones.

More people are following the English Premier League in soccer than ever (in fact North American soccer leagues campaign that some potential fans simply prefer to follow European leagues)..

Do you think 11 will be Dark Horse's peak?

Not with a video and a Brits performance coming.

Anyway, it's #10 on itunes, gaining on 11 song, and the Dapper song above it seems ready to fall hard.
