zeebre12 0
Looking back it would have been much better if she performed Applause on the x factor..it would be probably over 300000 now..DWUW was kind of a waste along with Venus because it was a mess and still 3 months on there is no video..the best thing to do for x factor is have d song held back for a few weeks and perform on release week..not premier the song on the show or perform an old single(most singets hold back their single)..a peak of 9 looks bad.. glitterintheair 2
How about other pop stars like Katy/Miley.. ? #37 is okay I guess... ellie #2, beyonce #3, katy #27 (up 13), gaga #37 (down 6). miley not in the top 40. AND last but not least she had no proper choreography for DWUW at that point because it wasn't meant to be a single. it's only by time alan carr came around that she started to look and sound at home with it, live (in my opinion). performing blurred lines, burn and roar didn't exactly hurt robin, ellie and katy. applause is the newer of the four songs too. I agree. Especially since Applause was a proven "grower" in US, suggesting more exposure could really help the song. All the best DWUW performances have involved R Kelly or Xtina to give it more flavour.

StrawberryBlond 14,865
http://www.officialcharts.com/singles-chart/ ShakiraRihanna got #11. "On air on sale" strikes again. But it was officially released worldwide on the 13th. The US got it one day later. I think it all comes down to the song being mediocre and Shakira being irrelevant here. If featuring Rihanna on your lead single can't get you success, I think it's time to accept that you simply can't connect with certain audiences anymore. I was doubting those who were saying the song was going to be huge before they'd even heard it and then continued to say it was going to be a hit when it was released. Nothing about it screams "hit." Rihanna's had plenty of solo flops, so of course there's no guarantee that she can boost everyone by featuring. I'm sure the video will get 100 million views in absolutely no time at all, though.
