Naughty Boy/Emeli Sandé still got a red update half an hour ago, so hopefully they'll remain at #8.

Only around 2.5% between Gaga and DJ Fresh now, so hopefully she can climb soon.

Is there any chance after the VMA's and the iTunes Festival that gaga could go #1? I don't know much about the UK market.

it takes alot to get a #1 in the UK, we're quite a weird market.

You only get a #1 if the whole country really likes you, or you're one of us. It's selective and I hate it.

Plus majority of our youth have awful taste, that's why all the dance songs get lapped up by us, they all sound the same but that's what majority of our youth like.

Hmm I don't think so. VMAs have never really have an effect on the UK chart, and I don't know how many people will be watching the iTunes Festival but it certainly won't be enough to boost it to #1.

If she does another promo spot in the UK while she's here, like a talk show, then maybe it could be a push for top 3 but even that might be a little too optimistic. It all depends on the performances, other releases etc but I think a #1 is definitely out of reach at this point.

Really? I think that Applause will be the kind of song that takes time to go to #1

Applause will most likely outdo Roar in terms of longevity.

I thought it was only me that thought this.

I dunno, I just can't see it happening. But I do think that it will end up having longevity in the top ten and have decent sales when it's all said and done.

I don't really think it can go #1 ever, but TOP 3, yeah I could see that happen after some promo in the UK..

Why in the name of God is Pitbull featured on Avicii's "Wake Me Up". Omg, it sounds so lame and stupid, why, why, why, I am so flabbergasted right now :fail:

I don't know either. I don't like Pitbull. For me, his feature ruined the song.

This morning Gaga is pretty much clear of Naught Boy & Emeli at #8 though that has been discounted to 59p already so we may see that rise fast. But Applause is still getting closer and closer to DJ Fresh & Diplo at #6. However once she makes it to #6 she might be waiting for a while as Lana has gained a lot since yesterday and there's a huge gap.

Any major releases tomorrow that could be threatening?

The only thing I can see making any impact tomorrow is the new Rizzle Kicks record, then the week AFTER there's literally nothing, so we've got a good couple of weeks where she can continue to grow without any interruption
