It's crazy though, because just a few days ago they were playing it like 3 times a day. This came out of nowhere. Which is awesome though, because Detroit has always been a hard radio market for Gaga tor each. And to be the first Gaga song since 2010 to get such positive reception here just blows me away. I agree - requesting is extremely important, and unlike MTN, it's actually working. I think a lot of people don't feel like doing it now after seeing what happened with MTN, but that was a lost cause - requesting regularly actually WILL HELP Applause's radio performance. Has this ever happened since the song was released? lol. Could club plays be pushing this? That seems like the most logical reason, especially considering Applause should be seeing a huge increase in club airplay from the previous weekends. Applause jumped 10 spots into the top 20 dance/club play songs as of last chart update, so that's very plausible. Also, my local iHeart station announced that they'd "have Gaga on the air with them later this week". She was on a one month break (in which she filmed multiple music videos, so those are handled). And has half of October off (perfect time to release a single). Then she has another gap from November 9th-30th (perfect time to release the album and promote). And then comes BACK to the US with a new tour (which her choreographer confirmed). Now HUSH with your logic of Bey not being able to handle touring and releasing an album I saw the gaps, which are far from huge. Gaga had hudger gaps on BTWB and she didnt release anything. The artists needs to rest, as I said. How smart is to put a single out and go to Australia to tour next? What happens if the single doesnt work?
