Griffin 6 Posted September 7, 2013 Share Posted September 7, 2013 I was just thinking, I'm actually impressed by her chart performance so far.Last year, as she continued to be awarded for BTW and had an amazingly successful tour, I think she began to really be put on par with Beyoncé and Madonna - in that they have social power, tonnes of awards and successful tours. Whether or not this Bey-Madge level is "above" other pop artists like Katy Perry and Rihanna who both have #1 lead singles from their latest era, I would place Gaga in the former. Beyonce's most successful tour did $120m+, Madonna's latest did $305m and Gaga just finished $230m. Rihanna's most successful tour was $90m and Katy's is $60m. In terms of latest lead singles, Madonna pulled #10 and Beyoncé pulled #29 - so Gaga is miles ahead of them. They are in the middle or end of their career already. gaga on the other hand has only been 5 years into the game.
