If you want the single to do well, PLEASE request it. Requesting it DOES make a difference. The song got +98 spins yesterday. Mariano 958 Posted September 4, 2013 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Today my lecture was so cool :X It was Introduction of Media and Entertainment Management And we talked about everything - Internet, Radio, TV, NewsPapers, Companies like Sony, Disney etc.. and when we were talking about music he showed a picture of the top earning touring artists of 2012 and Gaga was at number 4 and I was sooo happy to see It (Although I already knew It) Then we talked about Spotify .... Did you know that Spotify is loosing 50-60M every Year ? But the reason of that is, as most of you know, Streaming is really overtaking Digital sales, and Spotify hopes to get a lot of "serious" costumers for some years and then they'll start to put bigger and bigger prices and they'll get their millions back ... Nagini 3,543 Posted September 4, 2013 Share Posted September 4, 2013 It's only not doing anything if you dont request it. please, don't give me that BS. people keep requesting applause but radio isn't playing it at all. the song is literally top 5 on US itunes yet its airplay is pathetically subpar. you'd think a song that's that high on itunes would get decent airplay but that's ostensibly not the case.. didn't that one survey indicate that applause was the most liked on radio? if it was most liked, how come nobody's playing? it's plain and simple. radio is being a dick to applause and no matter how much you request it, it honestly wont do anything. If BL still manages to hold its grip this week, then we could expect KP finally getting her 8th HOT #1 next week, given that the music video is expected to be released within this week.
