The iTunes festival didn't do jack in the UK .

 

I do feel at least one more promo in the US could be good but if the radio isn't going to support it, there's not much to do.

 

And, like Arturo said, I think the iHeart Radio festival is tied to radio performance because my local station has been playing it 5 times a day and it isn't tied.

 

It didnt do anything anywhere, which kind of sucks. Almost went completely ignored by the public. Pre-orders went up but it's not like iTunes makes up a big portion of album sales anyway

Do we have any numbers for pre-orders or not yet? I saw Bangerz's and Prism's but not anything for AP.

She performed at iheartradio in 2011 and it did zip for the single.

Might be useful in kissing US radio ass.

 

ARTPOP has been trending upwards in UK since she went there.

She should do more promo in Europe this era. TV promo makes a big impact there.

This is literally the most ridiculous conversation ever. Yes, people aim for Summer anthems, but songs arent built for certain seasons and radio doesnt play one over the other in the winter because "this SOUNDS winter."

 

I could rebuke you and say college students are in school in the winter and want dance pop. It goes both ways.

Not everyone, but some. I personally (me, not everyone so Im speaking just for myself), think Applause is finished and cannot be saved from radio pushing back. I hope I'm wrong but I think her interviews talking about the trilogy/upcoming singles were for a reason.

Applause is holding on so well, much better than any of her singles without much radio. I think its a good thing because on  radio when it does play, and it does, leaves you wanting more. Whereas that BL song makes me cringe and angry that it's on all the time. I feel like its shoved down my throat and not natural.

Amp radio played it 7 times today SO FAR (There's still a little less than 5 hours on the west coast left until tomorrow) 
Amp played it 6 times yesterday in total. It's obviously picking up on non-iheartradio stations.

Don't reply if you aren't gonna actually look at the context, it's a waste of time for all parties involved when it's random and makes no sense :)

 

Actually, if you read my last post, if you can even read a full post (which may be asking a lot judging by your previous replies to me), I said it was my personal view that the single wasnt going to rise if radio wont start picking it up again
