US

Canada

Japan

Norway

etc.

It's not doing THAT badly intl, and it's at 100M AI almost. Why in the world would she EVER abandon it now, just for fans that have an unrealistic view that she's still in 2010?

I understood wanting to kill it when it looked like it was peaking at 50M AI and plunging every day on iTunes, but thats no longer the case.

It's not rly about numbers anymore. It's the impact applause has or rather the lack of it. It's a good buzz single but nothing "gaga" worthy, if you know what I'm saying. Her presence is yet to be felt, her comeback is yet to occur. She needs to come harder than this, even if it can pull 100m.

Applause is a hit and there's no doubt about that.

I'm not either, but it's still 220k above 2 mil and a 50k difference in the UK would still make it an estimated 2,17 mil copies sold WW.

I still think that most of those numbers have some adition :P It's still a shame considering the "huge fanbase"

I've got that feeling too.

I know what you mean, it's not about the sales or the radio... it's about the IMPACT, right?

I can't feel the impact either but... maybe we are asking for too much?

I mean, maybe If we wait for some more weeks the impact will happen... We are not in 2009/2010, she needs time. We won't have another bad romance with applause, but I think it still hasn't peak in terms of impact. During the last week I've listened to it A LOT more here, and I mean in tv shows, radios, people starting to know the song etc.

We are asking for the impact too soon.

IMO.
