That's because of how much Royals is rising though, Lorde has had 11 green updates (of which 3 dark green) in the past 2 days and only 6 light red/1 dark red update. Whenever Lorde has a red update, Applause only loses like -0,03.

 

Yeah - I don't know what's the hang up about green - red - green - red etc.   It often hides the bigger picture.

Indeed I like to compare songs not against the #1 (Lorde) because that is more about what the #1 is doing.  Better to compare with say #30, because if #30 song fall or rises it is replaced by a different song with about the same sales at #30

 

So 0.7 hrs ago Applause .4185,  #30 .1448  Ratio 2.89

and 24.5 hrs ago Applause .4501, #30 '1598 Ratio 2.92
