I'm still ok with Applause... it just happens tbh Well, what did you expect, her singles except for BTW were never smash ala Katy Perry, she was never about the #1s, it's just we realised that now and we thought BTW was like the rest of her singles (some of us even thought BTW was less successful). Her media blackout was huge, it'll take some time to recover, the most important is people are actually really happy about the song, all of my classmates know about Applause, some of them even sing to it, TV channels play her. Radio is supporting her. BTW was super alienating, her biggest single was BTW, to be honest, After BTW the era was messier than Rihanna's single releases. We just have to wait for the end of October to figure out if Gaga can snatch everyone's weave with Single 2. She barealy promotes, and Gaga used to be everywhere in the past, it's doing pretty good. But yes, we definitely need that smash if we want ARTPOP to sell tons of copies.
