Dangerous Man 9,245
Applause is the DEFINITION of stable right now. No rising and no falling whatsoever. 143? Mmmmm not really. The highest I think it can go 110 and lowest 80 A.I that sounds pretty good Im not sure bout Treasure's exact peak but yeah it was around 140's. Hmmm.. yeah, it's more likely it willl peak to that ai but beating BR's peak is still not impossible. Please no 2nd single until Nov., help us God. nick4bty 2,758
It's really ****ty that KIIS is paying her dust. At this rate, in a week it'll be down to 0 spins there. She really does have a lot of recovery to do after the BTW, in terms of airplay. Radio was just not here for her during BTW, and the support lessened as the era went on. By MTN, they were just done. So it's really nice to see Applause essentially doing its job - winning back the support. AMP in Detroit, for example, hardly played any BTW song. Y&I, Judas, and MTN were never played; EOG and BTW had very limited airplay. And now they're giving Applause 20 spins a day. It's incredible. Yea idk I can't imagine people singing Sex Dreams in their car on the way to work I'm sure people said the same thing about Poker Face 5 years ago

Will radio even dare to play it every hour? More like it will be only played at late nights. :lolgaga: "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." pie-kun 1,765
Mid-October is a good timeframe for the 2nd single I think. If people were willing to sing Blurred Lines in their cars on the way to work, I don't see how Sex Dreams' lyrics would be a problem.

Thats a bigger gap than BTW->Judas If Applause is still growing on radio and selling well in mid-October, it would be a huge mistake to put out a second single. Applause is all about getting back radio support - why would Interscope want to kill that with a risky second single? It makes no sense. Now, if it peaks in mid-October, Interscope better be making that second single happen. But right now, there's no telling what will happen. They can't just release a single for the hell of releasing a single. Not to mention, a three month single era is much better in the long run than a 2 month era. The worst mistake they could make right now is cutting Applause short.

Thats a bigger gap than BTW->Judas Bruno helped me to see the light. He released WIWYM as the 2nd single of UJ 2 months after the album release and it really helped his album's longevity. But before the album release, he released like 3 tracks as promo singles. Gaga can do the same. Esp. that she'll have better first week sales than Bruno. mrlemon 578
I'm sure people said the same thing about Poker Face 5 years ago Ok but Poker Face is not nearly as dirty as Sex Dreams even though it's on the same idea as it. Poker Face is not as blatant with it's lyrical meaning. Like picture mom's singing "when I lay in bed I touch myself and think of you." :toofloppy: I just can't see this song being a big hit with people. Adding onto this, I think they're best bet right now should be to keep the focus on Applause, but have everything ready to go (music video, performance spots, radio deal, etc.) in case Applause begins to die early, that way they can seamlessly release the secodn single without a big gap between releases. If people were willing to sing Blurred Lines in their cars on the way to work, I don't see how Sex Dreams' lyrics would be a problem. It's not only about lyrics. BL is so catchy, unlike SD. But maybe my view towards the song will change when I hear its studio version. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

Honestly, the moment Applause starts getting a string of negative radio updates, Interscope should have that second single ready to go. But right now there's no knowing when that will be.
