That wouldn't be the case if she released her other stronger choices like MANiCURE or Sex Dreams as the lead single. Only reason it's being cockblocked is because it's not big to begin with.

You don't see Roar being cockblocked and it's been out for the same amount of time.

yea you're right but neither Roar is big... when I heard It I knew It would slay radio but still  It's on the same level as TOTGA etc.. not like Firework, E.T.  I guess she just have really great momentum after TD, but Gaga should've released Sex Dreams as a lead..

That's not gonna help in Germany where she's already down to #14 or France where she's about to drop out of the Top 20. I doubt the clubs there are even playing Applause.

I'm gonna melt down because shes not doing **** to promote the song while it's holiday season in terms of pre-album singles. I don't understand what she thinks this industry is, it's not 2009. Her singles don't just fly up on their own anymore.

3 people, lets go. I did all yesterday morning so i cant right now

Doing first.

Tbh the only country that really matters for her is the US...

Britney is a force. Granted, she's entirely frontloaded and may only be a force for a couple weeks, but she'll still knock Gaga down a spot, for sure. As will Dark Horse, at least momentarily.

Meanwhile, we're in a GREAT position on radio right now. Most of the Top 10 (pop)/Top 20 (all format) is declining. These are songs that have been playing all summer, and now that they're on their way out, radio needs to replace them with a whole new batch of songs, and luckily, Gaga is in that batch. Basically, stations have no choice to spin Applause because a) it's doing well, and b) they don't have many other songs to play.

With Blurred Lines, Love Somebody, Clarity, Radioactive, Treasure, Get Lucky, and Cups all freefalling, Gaga will only continue to rise from here.

I don't even want her to keep rising at this point looking at her WW numbers. What's going to happen to the ARTPOP era in those countries? Is it just not even going to happen?

It's absolutely awful for her commercially that her era has stalled so quickly, in so many big markets. The impact on her touring with the next tour is going to be huge, unless she does something. And that either means going to France and Germany ASAP or a new single, which is already off the table because she's doing good in one country.

The fact she has booked NO promotion in either Japan or Europe is mindblowing to me. MILEY CYRUS is promoting more than her in EUROPE.

Awkward moment where ARTPOP era is dead after 1 single in some countries :awkney:

Applause era =/= ARTPOP era. Stop the drama.  :awkney:

^i was thinking about too as well. songs like Love somebody, cups and BL are losing spins very fast, especoally on pop.

i know most of spins went to roar, but some went to applause as well.

hopefully we're right after all. just hope after a week of PR, other stations will also pick up applause and keep those 2m coming so this thread wont have any more meltdowns
