Alchemist 0
I don't understand why people keep saying SD is explicit compared to songs like BL and S&M? Sure it's got s-xual content but specifically, what lyrics are there in the song that are any worse than "I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two" or "chains and whips excite me" etc? I can see how "making love in my s-x dreams" x572 could raise some eyebrows, but it's hardly got the potential to be offensive like those two other lyrics, or hell even "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" and the rest of LoveGame. Just my opinion. I think it would be fine on radio. Honestly whoever thinks Sex Dreams is explicit is really something else...
MANiCURE1295 8,673
If SD isn't the next single, then I would be okay with MANiCURE. Those two songs are the ones from the Festival that sound like they would be most successful!
Mills 446
This is a tragedy, not Eminem already out peaking Gaga. The thought of Applause most likely peaking at #4 still disturbs me. Even Ke$ha's Die Young was able to peak at #2. It's the main reason why I'd want for them to push Applause as much as possible, even until mid-October. I'm still waiting for it to grow and somehow pull a Diamonds-like chart run.

Thatd be ideal, but as we both know (Im assuming) that ideal situation relies heavily on radio.

I really doubt most radios stations would have any problem with playing Sex Dreams. It seems pretty tame to me. And if some would it would just be good publicity. albert 108
Honestly whoever thinks Sex Dreams is explicit is really something else... Sex Dreams is the most explicit song though... The chorus just repeats s-x about every line. The other songs had only a handful of lines that were explicit and could slip by, but not Sex Dreams. PleaseDontEatME 0
i like the fact that some people acknowledge the fact that there have been radio hits far more explicit than SD, so the content wouldn't be an issue, the issue would be wether that song will be a HIt and if the audience is still willing to buy gaga after the BTW decline and the applause underperformance

Its not one of the seven dirty words. And "I touch myself " isn't bad either People are overreacting. Iovine wouldn't have considered it he lead single if it was a problem. Jake 0
I'm afraid Sex Dream's radio edit would be a nightmare. The edit out the word "s-x" in S&M on all my local stations. I do think it could do very well if radio is willing to back it though.
albert 108
I can't at people not knowing what explicit means . Explicit =/= offensive. Has there been songs on the radio much more offensive than Sex Dreams? Definitely. But more explicit? No. Definition of Explicit: stated clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt. Its neither indecent or obscene according hte FCc so I don't see why any radio stations wouldn't air it. If there are some I think it would be very few in some small markets. If there are some I think it would be very few in some small markets. There are tons of family-friendly radio stations and air times. Though they are starting to allow more explicit words to be played on the radio (such as Bruno Mars song) but I'm not sure if they'd be too happy playing a song like Sex Dreams.
