If by big you mean like 4 weeks, yea. lol.

She had no real hits in France during BTW. They all died quick.

Applause looks like itll be her first real hit there since Alejandro. Same could be said about like half of Europe.

You are talking about France right? Cause she had hits w BTW era in the US

EDIT: u did mean France.

yea. Europe just doesnt like 80s rock pop crap that Gaga had in BTW.

They prefer dance music.

A las, Applause is taking off over there. It's just differing tastes.

Australia doesnt really like female dance music, Britney and Madonna struggled with that, so expect that usually strong market for Gaga to weaken over the era but maybe get a few top 10s.

Its just like that when you go abroad. Stars switch between continents in their strengths with different types of music.

how?

The whole Catholic controversial theme just fueled the Madonna comparisons. Not the production itself like BTW.

As an artist you can't expect your music to connect with every country in the world. So this is very normal. You win some and you lose some.

Pop Art

Okay so I've been gone all day, and I was wondering, did Applause break the VEVO record?

We don't know yet

Darn, I was afraid that would be the answer. Is it because VEVO has actually said they're not done calculating it or because we just assume they haven't finished tabulations?

Dangerous Man

Applause needs to be in the top 3 before the VMAs, then we will not be worrying anymore until the second single takes-off.

Im now more interested on how much it will sell at the end than its peak.

If it outsell Roar at d end, then we can laugh at those bashers. lol

Yay Gaga only one with a white update among red in the Top 7 and she's finally selling 40%! :)

lmao the S&M remix was bs. Britney's 5th #1

But it would of peaked at 2 if it wasn't for the remix anyways so I think it's fair that it counts as her #1.

And Judas was rush-released so there was no way it could of caught up. :emma:

Just noticed that Judas managed to stay in the HOT 100 for 8 weeks. And to think of it again, Billboard once published an article saying this:

Lady Gaga's 'Judas' Hits iTunes, Could Battle Rihanna for No. 1 on Hot 100

The comments section back then was unbearable, both before and after the actual chart was released. Old times.

Here's an update of all her charting songs on iTunes in the US, if anyone cares:

4. Lady Gaga - Applause

498. Lady Gaga - Poker Face

678. Lady Gaga - Bad Romance

788. Lady Gaga - Applause

893. Lady Gaga & Colby O'Donis - Just Dance

964. Lady Gaga - Born This Way

1023. Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory

1115. Lady Gaga - Yoü and I

All her singles as well as Starstruck are in the top 1000 of the "Pop" charts. Poker Face should be hitting 7M very soon.
