Blurred Lines = Fun song for bars/clubs (Catchy as hell)

Roar= Everybody and their mothers have been in a sad situation when they feel less than the others, every song in the market who helps you to be brave and strong is relateable.

Born This Way = Hyped as hell, Express Yourself drama, being promoted since the monster ball tour

Applause=  Not catchy enough, not relateable enough, not hyped enough. The song is only relateable to Gaga, Drag Queens and clearly, you.

Bye girl BYE!

Blurred lines being a "fun song" does not make it relatable. Also, it's only your opinion that Applause isn't "catchy" enough, not a fact. And lastly, Applause has absolutely no relevance for me. I just happen to like it. A song doesn't need to be "relevant" to someone in order for them to like it. BYE BYE BYE GURL.

For all you saying it isn't relatable,

I am pretty positive a song about Thrift Shopping isn't to relatable either but look at that smash.

Yeah because her singing 'Enigma pop star is fun she wear burqa for fashion' in a terrible British accent is so much more relatable and mainstream :laughga:

Yet her half screaming about the gorgeousness of her face over a beat is catchy?

Plus reviews slated Aura more than Applause calling it messy and confusing

This thread is a mess. First of all Applause was rush released a week early, the radio deal starts on Tuesday next week, as well as all of the major promo. Give it a chance, it will rise.

I just don't understand people dismissing Applause and even ARTPOP as flops because the first single might not hit #1 in its first week of release - since when did that define a song as a hit or a flop?

Ugh. Count on this fan-base to start melting down over everything.  We still have weeks of promo for this song.  And its an earworm, it may take a few listens to really get it, but once you do, you can't stop singing it.  Plus, imho, Bad Romance was not that great of a song (at least as great as people make it out to be now) but what really made that song such an event was the video.  It changed people's perception of the song entirely.  So let's wait until after the MV and VMAs to start assessing the success of the song.
